Things happen, and we understand.
It is possible to cancel a shift you’ve been accepted for on ESHYFT. However, we ask that you please try to cancel your shift as far in advance as possible so that the facility has enough time to find another nurse to fill your spot. A callout made at least 5 days in advance may be excused, as it provides the facility with ample time to fill the shift again.
At ESHYFT, we do consider these types of cancellations as callouts, and they can be broken down into 3 types of callouts: Regular Callouts, Short Notice Callouts, and Super Short Notice Callouts.
Regular Callouts - When you give 24 hours notice or more before the shift start time.
Short Notice Callouts - When you give 2-24 hours notice before the shift start time.
Super Short Notice Callouts - When you give less than 2 hours notice before the shift start time.
All of these callouts do carry penalties if they are not excused. To learn more about our callout policy, please read 'What is ESHYFT's callout policy?'
Please remember that canceling shifts may affect a facility’s probability of accepting you for future shifts.
Please note: If you have not been accepted for a shift yet, you can withdraw your application at any time.
