ESHYFT supports holiday pay and overtime when a CNA, STNA, LNA, GNA, LPN, or RN works over 40 hours* on a designated holiday.

We calculate the holiday overtime, following blended overtime rules. If holiday and overtime overlap you can follow this calculation:

Overtime Premium rate: Blended rate on the addition of .5

Holiday Premium rate: Is .5 of the holiday base pay rate.

Add the two Premium rates together and then add to the base pay rate for that shift.

Designated holidays are:

  • New Years Day

    12/31/2025, 6:30pm - 1/1/2026, 6:30pm

  • Memorial Day (2025)

    5/26/2025, 5:30am - 5/27/2025, 5:30am

  • 4th of July

    7/4/2025, 5:30am - 7/5/2025, 5:30am

  • Labor Day (2025)

    9/1/2025, 5:30am - 9/2/2025, 5:30am

  • Thanksgiving (2025)

    11/27/2025, 5:30am - 11/28/2025, 5:30am

  • Christmas Day

    12/24/2025, 6:30pm - 12/25/2025, 6:30pm

*Overtime is applied to the last confirmed shift in a pay period.
