As an ESHYFT LPN, we expect the following from you:

You're able to administer care.

  • Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.

  • Monitor patient's vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.

  • Administer basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.

  • Manage IVs, injections of medication, and any necessary immunizations.

  • Administer medication as prescribed by a physician.

  • Observe patients for a variety of concerns, such as reactions to medications, potential bed sores, and fluid and food intake and output.

You're able to support patients.

  • Promote a patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patients about condition(s), medication(s), and self‐care skills.

  • Ensure patients and their families understand release instructions, including medication instructions.

You're able to work as a part of a team.

  • Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams by communicating information, including but not limited to taking and entering medical history information into computer systems.

  • Supervise CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants), while also communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs of the patients.

We, the team at ESHYFT, believe these best practices will not only reflect positively on you, but also on us as a company.
