Congratulations on working your first shift with ESHYFT! ๐Ÿ‘ We hope it is the first of many.

When you've been confirmed for a shift, you will get a push notification on your phone and an email notifying you that you've been confirmed with details on the shift date, time, and location.ย

You will receive a number of notifications about your shift:

  • On the day of the shift

  • Three hours before the shift start time

  • One hour before shift start time

In order to clock in to a shift, you will need to be at the facility - we use geolocation technology to make sure you're within a certain distance of the facility before you can clock in.

Clocking in

You can clock in to your shift 5 minutes or 10 minutes before the scheduled shift start time. Facility Managers set how early before a shift's start time you can clock in.

You will receive an alert letting you know that you are able to clock in to your shift.ย

You can click the alert or just go to the app and clock in, here are the steps for clocking in:

  1. Open the ESHYFT for Nurses app

  2. If it's 5 or 10 minutes before shift start time then you will see a banner across the top of the app that will have a countdown to the shift start time, click it.

  3. Your timecard will open up with a green button at the bottom that says 'CLOCK IN', when you are ready to clock in, press it.

  4. You are now clocked in! The shift time will run automatically in the background, you can put your phone away and work your shift. ๐Ÿš€

If you need more information on clocking out, please see our article 'How do I clock out of a shift?'
