What are Instant Book shfits?

An Instant Book shift is a shift that you can get booked for instantly! When you apply for an Instant Book shift, you do not need to wait for a facility manager to confirm you, you will be instantly booked for it.

While Instant Book shift are instantly booked, this does not mean the shift is guaranteed - depending on a facility's need, they can still cancel you.

Regular shifts still exist and those still require facility managers to confirm nurses who apply to them.

All nurses can book Instant Book shifts! Your callout rate no longer affects your ability to apply.

Instant Book shifts stand out in the ESHYFT app with a purple label.

Go to the Shifts screen, in the ‘LIST’ tab, Instant Book shifts will have a purple Instant Book label.

Go to the Shifts screen, in the ‘MAP’ tab, facilities with available Instant Books will be marked with a purple lightning bolt on their location icon.

Go to the Shifts screen, in the 'CALENDAR' tab, when you click on a date, and time of day (Day, Evening, Night), Instant Book shifts will have a purple Instant Book label.

In the Shifts screen, in the LIST tab, you can swipe left on an Instant Book shift to book it, or you can swipe on a regular shift to apply to it.

You can also click on the shift and see more information about it. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see an ‘Instant Book’ button.

Remember! When you Instant Book, you won't be able to withdraw your application. If you need to cancel and Instant Book shift, it will cound as a callout. Don't worry, we'll show you a reminder before you apply for Instant Book shifts.

If you don’t see any shifts, try adjusting your filter settings. You will also be able to filter Instant Book shifts into your search results.

If you still don’t see any results in your area, we recommend increasing your distance settings.
