At ESHYFT there are two types of shifts you can choose between: Regular shifts and InstaSHYFTs.

Regular shifts

In order to get confirmed for a regular shift, the facility must confirm you for it. Once you apply to a shift, Facility Managers at that facility will be notified. It is then up to the Facility Manager to review and either confirm or decline your application.

You will be notified if you're confirmed or declined for a shift. You can find confirmed shifts in the Confirmed tab of your Schedule screen.

We recommend applying to multiple shifts at the same time to increase your probability of getting confirmed for a shift. Don't worry, you will not be double booked for a shift. If you have multiple shifts at the same time, once you're confirmed for one, we'll automatically remove you from the others.

InstaSHYFTs

InstaSHYFTs are booked instantly and do not require confirmation from a Facility Manager. Once booked, you are immediately confirmed for that shift.

While InstaSHYFTs are instantly booked, this does not mean the shift is guaranteed - depending on a facility's need, they can still cancel you.

What if I'm no longer able to work my confirmed/booked shift?

If you are no longer able to work your shift and need to call out, you can do so. However, this will be considered a callout. To review our callout policy, please read 'What is ESHYFT's callout policy?'

What if I'm no longer able to work a shift that I haven't been confirmed for?

If you are no longer able to work a shift that you have NOT been confirmed for it is considered a withdrawal. Withdrawing from a shift is different from calling out, it has no negative repercussions. To learn how to withdraw from an unconfirmed shift, please read 'How do I withdraw from a shift?'
